What is the best LED bicycle head light for every day after dark commuting in a city?

Discussion dans 'Equipements électriques' créé par Dahlia Fairall, 20 Juillet 2012.

  1. [h=1]What is the best led par lights for every day after dark commuting in a city?[/h]I have a huge and heavy 16 led high bay lighting that works well. But well, it's huge and heavy and the "D" cell batteries rattle... though they do last along time. Any suggestions? I'm not spending more than $30 ish. Need to be a LED Flood Lamp quick release and usable with a handlebar bag in place also.

    Good morning Dahlia

You have a huge amount of LEDs which are probably obsolete, I mean, no longer in use because they do not perform any longer as well as certain new types of Light Emitting Diodes that we use nowadays, in just a single flash light, that you can buy in any supermaket for just 3Euros or even cheaper....

You could buy theese flash lights, extract the diodes and than use them anywhere else ....

Don't forget : the suit of the victory is very oftenly tailored within the fabric of several " jackets "

    King regards !!!!

    LED for bycicle head light

    Hy Dahlia

    Are you still there ???

There are no spécial LEDs dédicated to bycicles, except the ones self contained within a battery pack. Either for the head or for the tail position light ....

But if you want to use the bycicle wheel magnéto ( dynamo ) you have to look and find LEDs spécially made for automotive position lights or may be head lights.
If you know that the magnéto will give a 9 Volts AC current, they might still opérate despite a car uses 12 to 14 Volts DC .....
Since they are called LEDs light emmitting DIODES , a diode will anyway rectify the AC current given by your magnéto !!!!!

    Good luck !!!
