Salut BigBob,
Perso lors d'un remplacement de capteur j'ai à chaque fois « adapter ».
Le document de Ross-Tech fait une différence entre le CAN (communication) et UDS (service).
Que faut il en penser ??
Maintenant il est vrai que pas mal d'éléments s'adaptent de part eux-mêmes à l'usage.
Un simple scan permettra d'en savoir plus.

There's no problem with the 3C vs 3G stuff here. Notice that your VIN does have 3C in the 7th and 8th digits. That's the first thing VCDS bases its assessment on (and what it shows at the top of the scan), but it's explicitly loading a "VW48" version of data for your ECU, which is of course "B8".
Now; interesting. There is indeed nothing like that defined for this ECU. I've even gone back to see if it may have been defined in older ASAM data versions and didn't find anything. That makes me wonder if this ECU finally has code it that automatically adapts the G450. That's something that really shouldn't be difficult and I've long wondered why it had to be done explicitly/manually? If my understanding of that process is correct, all it does is figure out the static offset between the two halves of the sensor when the engine isn't running.
